Single Sign On (SSO) with Zoom

Configure the Service Provider

  1. Log in to Zoom as an administrator.
  2. Select on the Account Management tab on the left-hand side of your Zoom portal.
  3. Apply for a Vanity URL for your company, something like https://YOURCOMPANY.zoom.us.
  4. When your Vanity URL has been approved, select on the Single Sign-On tab on the left-hand side of your Zoom portal.
  5. In the Sign-in page URL field, enter https://sso.jumpcloud.com/saml2/zoom (this is the default IdP URL, but if you plan to change this value in JumpCloud in the Configuring JumpCloud for Zoom part 11 then provide your chosen value).
  6. In the Sign-out page URL field, enter https://console.jumpcloud.com/userconsole/.
  7. In the Identity provider certificate field, paste the contents of your public certificate without the BEGIN and END CERTIFICATE lines.
  8. In the Issuer field, enter https://YOURCOMPANY.com (use your company's domain).
  9. For the Binding, select HTTP-Redirect.
  10. Select the appropriate Default user type for your users.
  11. In the Customize SAML Response Mapping section, check the boxes for Email address, First name, and Last name.
  12. In the SAML AttributeName field for Email address, enter 'Email'.
  13. In the SAML AttributeName field for First name, enter 'FirstName'.
  14. In the SAML AttributeName field for Last name, enter 'LastName'.
  15. Select Save.
  16. Download the SP metadata XML file from: https://YOURCOMPANY.zoom.us/saml/metadata/sp.

Configure the JumpCloud SSO Application

  1. Access the JumpCloud Administrator Console at https://console.jumpcloud.com.
  2. Select Applications in the main navigation panel.
  3. Select the + in the upper left, scroll or search for the application in the 'Configure New Application' side panel, the select 'configure'.
  4. You can upload a service provider application's XML metadata file to populate SAML connector attributes for that application. The attributes populated by the metadata file may vary by the application. To apply a metadata file for the application you're connecting, click Upload Metadata. Navigate to the file you want to upload, then click Open. You'll see a confirmation of a successful upload. Be aware that if you upload more than one metadata file, you'll overwrite the attribute values applied in the previously uploaded file.
  5. In the IDP Entity ID field, enter https://YOURDOMAIN.TLD (e.g., https://thebestwidgets.com).
  6. In the SP Entity ID field, enter YOURCOMPANY.zoom.us (in the SP metadata file, this is the entityID attribute value of the EntityDescriptor element).
  7. In the ACS URL field, enter https://YOURCOMPANY.zoom.us/saml/SSO (in the SP metadata file, this is the Location attribute value of the AssertionConsumerService element).
  8. In the field terminating the IdP URL, either leave the default value or enter a plaintext string unique to this connector.
  9. (Optional) In the Display Label field, enter a label that will appear under the Service Provider logo within the JumpCloud User console.
  10. Select Activate.
