Exporting Users from Active Directory

You can export Active Directory users to CSV, then import them using the JumpCloud CSVImporter.
PS C:\Users\Administrator> import-module activedirectory
PS C:\Users\Administrator> Get-ADUser -filter * -Properties GivenName,Surname,SamAccountName,EmailAddress | Select Given
Name,Surname,SamAccountName,EmailAddress | Export-CSV c:\Windows\temp\userlist.csv
This results in a CSV with the first four fields populated. The CSV can be imported as is by adding five additional blank fields for a total of nine, or you can continue to build the data per Importing Your Users into JumpCloud

Alternately, you can convert domain accounts to local accounts on Windows systems. ForensiT offers a free tool, User Profile Wizard, that can be used to convert AD user accounts to local user accounts. After the account is converted, JumpCloud can take over the user account on the system.

Note: Though JumpCloud recommends using ForensIT to assist with migrations of users off of AD to local accounts, know that this is a third-party tool that isn’t supported by JumpCloud and may not work in all scenarios and environments.
