How do I add a credit card for Billing?


Any JumpCloud admin user with billing access can add credit card information in JumpCloud. Learn about JumpCloud Billing Admins.

To add a credit card for billing:

  1. Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal: https://console.jumpcloud.com.
  2. Click your email address in the top right of the Portal, then select Payments.
  3. The Billing & Payments modal appears.
  4. On the Billing Information tab, enter your billing information.
  5. Click Next.
  6. On the Payment Information tab, enter the name and billing address for that card, then click enter card.
  7. On the window that appears, enter the credit card number, expiration date, and CSV (three or four-digit code), then click Submit Payment Method. The card is saved.
  8. Edit the card anytime by clicking update in Billing & Payment.


How am I Billed?

JumpCloud charges your credit card around the first of each month for the maximum number of users, minus the first 10 free, that you had in JumpCloud in the prior month.


Billing Administrator Role

 

JumpCloud admins can only access billing information if they are assigned a "With Billing" role. That is, admins with either the "Administrator With Billing" or a "Command Runner With Billing" role can change the payment method. Learn about assigning administrator roles.


Considerations

  • Admins assigned a “With Billing” role don’t automatically receive invoices unless the admin and the billing contact are the same account. Invoices are automatically sent to the billing contact. Admins need to request that invoices be sent to their account in addition to the billing contact.
  • There is no limit to the number of billing users you can assign for an account, however each account must have at least one admin with a billing role.
  • Billing requests are responded to the billing contact account.


How Do I Get a Copy of my Invoice?


You can request a copy of your invoice at any time by having a billing user email billing@jumpcloud.com.


How can I Setup a Billing-Only User?


There is no specific billing-only user, but there is a way to obtain the same capability. To do so, create a Command Runner user with Billing access, but do not grant them access to execute any commands.

Here's how to do that, go to your email menu in the upper right corner of the JumpCloud Admin Portal:

1)Go to Administrators from the JumpCloud Account menu.


2) Click "+ Create Admin"


3) Finally, create a "Command Runner with Billing" access:


That user will receive an email that will let them set up their password. They can then manage the JumpCloud account credit card.

Note: By default, this new Command Runner With Billing user won't be able to execute any commands. If an administrator adds this user to a command, they would be able to execute that command.
