Mac: Agent install fails repeatedly

If upon installing the Mac agent, you see repeated installation failures, it may because you have blocked port 123 UDP outbound (this is the port used by Network Time Protocol (NTP) to sync your system's time with a time server.

If this fails, and if your system time is not correct, you may be unable to register new agents with JumpCloud, resulting in an installation failure.

To restore normal function, modify your network firewall configuration to allow port 123 UDP outbound, and all UDP ports inbound, so that the time can be synchronized properly.
