After installing the JumpCloud agent, the system fails to register itself and logs an error noting that the connection failed due to an unauthorized request.
- The JumpCloud agent may appear to start and then stop almost immediately
- The system does not show up in the JumpCloud Console
- The JumpCloud agent log will show something similar to the following:

This error is caused by installing the JumpCloud agent with an invalid Connect Key.
Please ensure that the Connect Key used during the installation process is valid. Each Connect Key is tied an individual administrator in your JumpCloud organization.
After gathering a valid Connect Key, uninstall the JumpCloud agent then reinstall with the proper Connect Key to ensure that your system registers with your JumpCloud organization. The system should now populate in the Systems records in the JumpCloud Console.
