"One of my jobs is to give you a simple, secure access to the tools you need to get your work done. With {insert what's been difficult... for instance, how fast we're growing}, it's been hard to do this efficiently. And, I know it's been irritating for you as well. To make things easier on all of us, we're going to begin rolling out an identity management service called JumpCloud. Once we get fully rolled out, it will give you access to {insert scope of rollout here... for instance, your computer, WiFi, and O365/G Suite} with one username and password."

"You don't need to do anything right now. I'll send several emails over the next coming weeks with instructions on what you'll need to do."

Template 1: User Activation

Subject: Action Required - Company Wide Identity Management (Same Sign-On)

Hello Everyone,

This week {revise as needed} we will be integrating your {O365 / G Suite} access with JumpCloud. Once this is complete, you will use your JumpCloud password to access {O365 / G Suite} as you do with {insert resources already managed by JumpCloud...for instance, your computer and WiFi access}.

What I need from you:

On {insert date} you will receive an email titled “JumpCloud - {O365 / G Suite} Sync.”

 

  1. Follow the instructions in this email to update your password to complete the connection between JumpCloud and {O365 / G Suite}.

  2. As you login to {O365 / G Suite} from your various devices, you’ll be prompted to put in your JumpCloud password.

 

What’s next?

In the following weeks, we will segue into using your JumpCloud password for a variety of applications. I’ll be sending additional information to you if and when you will be affected.

Single Sign-On withJumpCloud Directory-as-a-Service

Hello Everyone,

We are in the final stage of consolidating your passwords with JumpCloud. As a reminder, we’re doing this provide secure, simple access to the tools you need to do your work. You’re already using your JumpCloud account and password for {insert resources already managed by JumpCloud...for instance, your computer, WiFi access, and G Suite}. After this change, you’ll use your JumpCloud account and password for the following applications as well:

{insert apps}

What I need from you:

You don’t need to do much...

  1. On {insert date} I will send a confirmation that we’ve moved to JumpCloud for these apps.

  2. Go to the JumpCloud User Portal https://console.jumpcloud.com to confirm you see the apps. NOTE: If you access the portal before then, you won’t see them yet.

  3. For {insert apps that apply}, you’ll still be able to login through their portal.

Template 4a: Systems - Agent Push - JumpCloud Account Creation

Subject: Action Required - JumpCloud Password for your Computer

Hello Everyone,

You may recall that we’re moving to JumpCloud for our identity management. We’re making this change to provide secure, simple access to the tools you need to do your work. In support of this change, I’ll be installing some software on your computers {insert timeframe}.

What this means for you:

• Once I install the JumpCloud software agent on your computer, you’ll use your JumpCloud username and password to login to your computer.

What you’ll need to do:

• The next time you login to your computer, you’ll need to use your JumpCloud username and password.

A couple reminders for you:

  1. Your JumpCloud username is the same as the username you use to login into your computer today.

  2. If you don’t remember the password you set up, come visit me, and I’ll walk you through how to reset it.

 

IMPORTANT: Mac users must log out and log back in to complete the onboarding process. At the login screen, you will be presented with two input boxes for passwords. Enter your password prior to JumpCloud into the "Previous Password" box. Enter your current JumpCloud password in the "Password" box.

Hello Everyone,

You may recall that we’re moving to JumpCloud for our identity management. We’re making this change to provide secure, simple access to the tools you need to do your work. You’ve already set up your JumpCloud account. Sometime {insert timeframe}, I’ll swing by your desk to install some software on your computer.
 

What this means for you:

• Once I install the JumpCloud software agent on your computer, you’ll use your JumpCloud username and password to login to your computer.

 

As we roll out JumpCloud to manage other tools you use, you’ll use your JumpCloud account to manage access to them. I’ll send you an email whenever there’s a change coming.

Template 5: RADIUS

Subject: Action Required - JumpCloud password for your WiFi
 

WiFi Access withJumpCloud Directory-as-a-Service

Hello Everyone,

Sometime today {revise as needed}, you’ll get a message on your computer to login to our WiFi network (called {insert RADIUS network name}).

What you need to do:

 

• Login with your JumpCloud username and the password. Hint: {pick appropriate sentence} This is the same username and password you use for your computer. OR You can find your JumpCloud username at https://console.jumpcloud.com if you’ve forgotten it.

 

Why is this happening?

As I’ve mentioned, we’re moving to an identity management solution called JumpCloud to provide simple, secure access to all the things you need to get your work done. We’ve already rolled it out to {insert completed rollout steps}. Securing our Wifi network is our next step.

Once you enter your username and password, you should be good to go, but, if you do run into any trouble, let me know.
