Create Organizations in the Multi-Tenant Portal

JumpCloud has enhanced our self-service capabilities in the Multi-Tenant Portal that includes the ability to create a new Organization directly from the portal.  This feature was released on February 4th 2019. This article outlines the behavior you can expect after the update, and how that changes the process for associating a new Organization to your Multi-Tenant Portal.
 

Summary

JumpCloud’s new self-service capability will improve your Multi-Tenant Portal administrative experience and allow you to roll-out JumpCloud more quickly to your customers. Now you can create a new Organization in the Multi-Tenant Portal on your own, without assistance from Support or the completion of a separate Free Account form.  

 

 

What’s Changed

BEFORE: Admin workflow for creating a new Org for the MTP
 

  1. Create a new client account by filling out a Free Account form.
  2. Contact JumpCloud and provide details to have the account associated to the MTP.
  3. Wait for confirmation before seeing the new Organization in the MTP.

 

AFTER: Admin workflow for creating a new Org within the MTP
 

  1. Log into the MTP Dashboard.
  2. Click the green + in the upper left corner.
  3. Enter the Organization Name, then click Save.
